The competition for the title of the Manager of the year  took place on 28th of March, 2008 organized by the Chamber of  Skilled Craft and Entrepreneurship of Montenegro. Mr. Djordjije Goranovic, the  general manager of Ltd MI Goranovic Niksic was announced as the manager of the  year in 2008 in the field of food sector and meat products.

Explanation regarding nomination said:”Djordjije Goranovic  has built the most successful industrial company in the field of food products  in Montenegro.  For the period of more than 20 years of successful business he has managed to  stabilize the chain of livestock and poultry purchase and build modern  facilities for the food production according to the most up-to-date standards  in the field of production and hygiene such as HACCP. With his highly-skilled  personnel and help of modern technological ways of production he has developed  more than 120 different delicious products and set the postulates for  successful export such as production and quality. With his business policy and  the vision, he ensured hundreds direct and indirect job positions in Montenegro.  Goranovic’s products, each of these own i.e. EAN bar code standard, won couple  of prestigious rewards in 2007. and the name of the company became a  recognizable Montenegrin brand”.

The point of the competition was to give an honor to the  most successful managers and promote the significance of private  entrepreneurship as a support of agricultural development of the country. There  was a number of private companies participated in the competition.
